Criminal sexual conduct charges dismissed in Marshall case

MARSHALL — A man who was charged with criminal sexual conduct against a minor in Marshall pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct charges this month, Lyon County District Court records said.

On Aug. 15, Uriel Tomas Ramirez Cruz, 19, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, and charges of criminal sexual conduct were dismissed.

A criminal complaint had alleged that Cruz kissed and had non-consensual contact with a child under 18 at Justice Park in May.

Court records said the charges of second degree and fifth degree criminal sexual conduct were dismissed for lack of probable cause. At the Aug. 15 hearing, Cruz was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 81 days already served for the disorderly conduct charges.

Starting at $3.95/week.
