Balaton woman pleads guilty to fentanyl charges

MARSHALL — A Balaton woman arrested in connection with a February drug bust pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing fentanyl, court records said.

Miranda Michelle Sanow, 26, appeared in Lyon County District court on charges of third degree narcotics sale. A criminal complaint said Sanow possessed about 5.8 grams of fentanyl at her residence in Balaton, as well as doses of fentanyl packaged for sale.

At Tuesday’s hearing, Sanow pleaded guilty to third degree narcotics charges, court records said. The court ordered a pre-sentencing investigation, and set a sentencing hearing for May 30. The court also took a request for Sanow to go into inpatient treatment under advisement, court records said.
