MARSHALL -- The Marshall School District is investigating a second threat of violence reported at one of its schools -- this time, Marshall Middle School.
Marshall Public Schools Superintendent Jeremy Williams sent out notices to parents Tuesday afternoon that the threat was written in the girls' bathroom at MMS. He said school officials are working with the Marshall Police Department to investigate this matter and don't have any additional information at this time.
The notice also stated there was an increased police presence at the middle school.
"We continue to do everything we can to investigate this vandalism and will hold those responsible accountable," Williams said in the notice.
School was dismissed as regularly scheduled at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday.
Marshall High School had received a separate threat of a shooting last week. That threat was also found written in a girls' bathroom. Williams said the school district was working with law enforcement to investigate, but they did not have information to suggest the threat was credible.
