Redwood Co Sheriffs identify victim in Belview shooting
BELVIEW — The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man who was shot early Sunday morning near Belview. Austin Beran, 22, of Morton, is hospitalized in serious but stable condition, the Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence south of Belview around 12:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of a gunshot victim, the Sheriff’s Office said. When they arrived, they found Beran with a single gunshot wound. Beran was transported from the scene by ambulance and was later flown to North Memorial Hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation into the shooting is still active, and no arrests have yet been made in the incident.
