Local VFW essay a state winner
The VFW Post 742 announced that its local fifth grade essay on “What the American flag means to me,” was a state winner. Briana Foley’s essay along with eight others from across Minnesota, were chosen winners. Foley received a citation and a red, white and blue fleece blanket. Foley is the daughter of Deb and Chris Foley and attends Holy Redeemer School.
