Beyer first in National Anthem contest

The local VFW Post #742 Youth Activities conducted a promotion of the “Get Excited for the Red, White and Blue!” national anthem singing contest. All students age 6-16 years old in Marshall had an opportunity to record a solo vocal performance, record their performance on a flash drive and submit it by March 1st. Entries were judged on vocal ability, mastery of lyrics, and originality or interpretation and entertainment value.

Liam Beyer was the 1st place winner for our Local VFW Auxiliary Contest. Liam’s solo performance will now go on to be judged by the VFW District Auxiliary, then possible to the State VFW Auxiliary. Liam attends 5th grade at Holy Redeemer School, his proud parents are Noelle and James Meyer.
