Marshall man injured in Highway 23 crash

COTTONWOOD — A Marshall man was injured in a crash involving a car and a semi tractor near Cottonwood on Tuesday afternoon, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 2:04 p.m on Minnesota Highway 23 just north of 380th Street, the State Patrol said. A 1999 Nissan Altima driven by Jeremy Allan Anspach, 44, of Marshall was southbound on Highway 23 when it collided with a northbound semi tractor driven by John Edwin Wander, 61, of Elrosa, Minn.

Anspach was transported to Avera Marshall Medical Center with what were believed to be non life-threatening injures, the State Patrol said.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, and Cottonwood Fire and Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
