SACRED HEART — A 34-year-old Sacred Heart woman died in a one-vehicle, rollover crash reported at 5:43 a.m. Friday.

Danielle Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, near the intersection of CR 11 and 160th Street, three miles north of Sacred Heart in Ericson Township.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a one-vehicle crash with two vehicle occupants.

At the scene, a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer was found occupied by Johnson and Nicholas Brekke, 34, of Sacred Heart.

A sheriff’s office preliminary investigation indicated the Blazer was southbound on 160th Street, entered the ditch and overturned multiple times. Brekke was transported to CentraCare Hospital with serious injuries.

Assisting at the scene were Renville Ambulance Service, Sacred Heart Fire and Medical Response Unit, Life LInk III Air Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash remains under investigation.
