Crash injures one in Lyon County

LYON COUNTY — A Pipestone woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash Monday morning on Minnesota Highway 23 in southern Lyon County, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 10:54 a.m. in Shelburne Township, the State Patrol said. A 2005 Chrysler van driven by Rebecca Meldahl-McLemore, 31, was westbound on Highway 23 when it went off the roadway to the right and hit a field approach. The van kept moving southbound and hit a railroad track embankment, the State Patrol said.

Meldahl-McLemore was taken to the Avera Tyler hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler Fire and Ambulance, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources all responded at the crash scene.
