Highway 14 crash injures two on Saturday

LAKE BENTON — A one-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 14 injured two Tracy residents on Saturday morning, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported east of Lake Benton at 11:45 a.m., the State Patrol said. A 1995 Pontiac van driven by David Warren Schilling, 69, entered a curve on Highway 14 and lost control on the slushy roadway. Schilling and a passenger in the van, Julie Ann Schilling, 64, received non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. David Schilling was taken to the Tyler hospital, while Julie Schilling was taken to the Tracy hospital, the State Patrol said.

The Lake Benton Fire Department and First Responders, Tyler Ambulance, Tyler Police and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office all responded at the crash scene.
