GF man injured in collision with power pole

GRANITE FALLS — A Granite Falls man was injured Wednesday when his vehicle ran off the road on U.S. Highway 212 and struck a power pole, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 1:17 p.m., in Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, the State Patrol said. A 2016 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Shane Nokleby, 21, of Granite Falls was eastbound on Highway 212 when it went off the road, hit a field approach and went airborne, the State Patrol said. The Silverado then struck a power pole.

Nokleby was taken to the Granite Falls hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, Granite Falls Police, and the Granite Falls Ambulance and Fire Department all responded at the crash scene.
