Fire destroys Hector home
HECTOR — A Hector residence was believed to be a complete loss in a fire in northeast Hector Monday.
The Renville County Dispatch Center got a call of a vehicle on fire in a garage at 210 DuPont Avenue Northeast in Hector at 8:38 a.m. Monday. The fire spread into a residence before it was extinguished by the Hector Fire Department. A neighboring structure had minor damage due to heat from the fire.
Assisting agencies were the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Hector Ambulance and fire departments from Buffalo Lake and Bird Island.
