Marshall woman hurt in New London crash

NEW LONDON — A Marshall woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Kandiyohi County, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 3:19 p.m., at the intersection of Minnesota State Highway 9 and Highway 23, the State Patrol said. A 2013 Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer was waiting to cross Highway 23, and pulled out in front of a 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by Shante Bratsch, 23, of Marshall, the State Patrol said. The Impala struck the trailer in the crash, the State Patrol said.

Bratsch was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. The driver of the pickup, Steve Simenson, 59, of Darwin, Minnesota, was uninjured, the State Patrol said.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office also responded at the scene of the crash, the State Patrol said.
