Minneota man injured in early Tuesday crash

PORTER — A Minneota man was injured in a one-vehicle crash in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported around 2:46 a.m., on Minnesota Highway 68 south of Porter, the State Patrol said. A 2014 Chevy Silverado driven by Brenton Schultz, 21, of Minneota, was southbound on Highway 68, when Schultz fell asleep and ran off the road, a State Patrol report said. The vehicle struck an embankment, the State Patrol said.

Schultz was taken to the Canby hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. Schultz was wearing a seatbelt, according to the State Patrol report.
