MARSHALL -- High school marching bands from three states came together to perform at the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University on Saturday, during Pursuit of Excellence. The event featured band and color guard clinics during the day, with students getting feedback from competition judges. In the evening, bands competed in three different classes, grouped by size.
The first-place bands in each class were Sioux Falls Jefferson in the Crimson Class, Sioux Falls Roosevelt in the Gold Class, and Bellevue West High School from Bellevue, Nebraska, in the Navy Class.
