‘Just eat the Oreos’
Contestants go straight to the cookies to win pie eating contest during Box Car Days

TRACY -- It was advertised as a pie eating contest, but at Box Car Days on Saturday, it was all about the Oreo Cookies.
Youths and some adults signed up for the contest inside the beer tent. The goal to win was to find the Oreo Cookies underneath a big pile of Whipped Cream on a plate. The first contestant to eat all the Oreo Cookies the fastest were declared the winner.
"My strategy -- find the Oreo, take a little bit to eat it, wait a little bit to get it down my throat, then search for another," said Jett Molitor.
He was declared the winner of the ages 12 and under division, eating his Oreos in 47 seconds. As time went along, Molitor said he was confident he would win.
"I was like ole man, I'm doing good. It's crazy," he said.
Jack Molitor took second place.
It took Jax Pfarr 49 seconds to eat all of his Oreo Cookies, but he took the ages 13-17 division.
"Just kind of washed down the Oreos with the whipped cream," he said afterwards. "Eat an Oreo and then water it down (with the Whipped Cream."
Judah Loucks took second.
Meanwhile, John Frazier signed up for the adults division and watched the other divisions before stepping onto the stage in the beer tent for the contest. He said he just decided to get "in their" and eat the Oreo Cookies.
He ate all his Oreo Cookies in 25 seconds.
"I heard some of the kids skipped the whipped cream -- just eat the Oreos. I said, 'all right,' dug in their, found them. I'm a big guy, so it's two bites and I'm done," Frazier said.
Frazier also said it helped that he was the only one who originally signed up.
"I was the only one who had the motivation," he said. "It was a good time. I had fun."
Adam Bruder finished second in the adult division.
Also Saturday, a Pizza, Puzzle, Guzzle contest was held after the pie eating contest. Teams raced to complete a 300-piece puzzle, large pizza, and 12 beers within two hours. Here are the results:
First place – Side Pieces (Kim Thooft, Sam Wynia, Ashlea Sell, Danielle Beck) – completed in 37 minutes
Second Place – Drunk n’ Puzzled (Katlyn Wieme, Tyler Fogelson, Kendra Moyars, Joe Gerken) – completed in 39 minutes
Third Place – One Piece (Alyson Birt, Brandon Krish, Abel Haugen, Staci Birt) – completed in 45 minutes
