Electric work, parking restrictions start Tuesday near Bruce Street

MARSHALL -- Electrical work near the corner of East College Drive and Bruce Street will mean some parking restrictions in the Avera Marshall parking lot next week. Spokespeople for R and G Construction announced Friday that the work around the parking lot will start Tuesday.

Drivers are being asked to watch for workers in the boulevards on Bruce Street and Charles Avenue. There will also be no parking in the east row of the Avera parking lot near the corner of Bruce Street and College Drive.

The construction that starts Tuesday will involve underground electrical work for a new electric vehicle charging station, said Erika Coudron of R and G Construction. The EV charging station will be located in the Avera parking lot.

The electrical work that will need to take place starting Tuesday will be located along the row of the parking lot along Bruce Street. There will be no parking allowed in that area.
