BALATON -- Charges are being considered in connection with a one-vehicle ATV accident that injured two juvenile girls Friday afternoon, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office said.
Two girls, ages 14 and 13, were injured in a rollover ATV accident at 3:42 p.m., at the intersection of 170th Street and 180th Avenue in rural Balaton, the Sheriff's Department said. The 14-year-old was driving the ATV, the Sheriff's Office said.
The Sheriff's Office did not release the names of the two injured girls. Both girls were transported by ambulance to Avera Marshall Medical Center.
The Sheriff's Office said a report on the accident was sent to the Lyon County Attorney's Office for consideration of charges.
