GF man gets over 100 years for criminal sexual conduct
MONTEVIDEO — This week, a Granite Falls man received a total of more than 100 years in prison sentences for multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct and stalking, according to Chippewa County court records.
A sentencing hearing for Jacory McCalpin, Sr., 43, was held Tuesday in Chippewa County District Court. In April, a jury found McCalpin guilty of 21 counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct, and one count of stalking.
According to a criminal complaint, McCalpin repeatedly sexually and physically assaulted a victim in Chippewa County in 2022 and 2023 while he was in a relationship with the victim. The complaint said some of the sexual assaults happened while the victim was sleeping. The complaint said McCalpin recorded video of some of the assaults and threatened the victim that he would release the videos.
The criminal complaint said McCalpin was arrested in April 2025 and told police he had made videos and photographs of the victim in order to start an online business.
At Tuesday’s sentencing hearing, McCalpin received nine consecutive sentences for some of the charges he was convicted of. Not all of the charges were adjudicated, according to court records. Added up, the sentences McCalpin added up to more than 100 years in prison. An 18-month prison sentence for the stalking conviction was stayed for one year. McCalpin also received credit for 442 days already served, court records said.
