One injured in Hwy. 59 crash

MURRAY COUNTY -- A Grove City man was injured in a crash involving a semi truck Thursday on U.S. Highway 59, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Hayden Lee Andrews, 21, was taken to the hospital in Slayton with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 2:55 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 59 and 211th Street in Lake Sarah Township, Murray County. A 2005 Buick Lesabre driven by Andrews was northbound on Highway 59, and a 2014 Kenworth semi driven by Mark Leo Bernardy, 58, of Milroy was southbound when the vehicles collided, the State Patrol said.

Andrews was transported to the hospital in Slayton. Bernardy was uninjured, the State Patrol said.

The Murray County Sheriff's Office, Murray County Ambulance, Shetek First Responders and the Slayton Fire Department all responded at the crash scene, the State Patrol said.
