Child injured in e-scooter accident

MARSHALL — A child was injured in an accident involving an electric scooter Wednesday morning at the intersection of East Lyon Street and Adobe Road, Marshall Police said.
The accident was reported around 10 a.m. A 13-year-old child riding an e-scooter received a head injury falling off the scooter, said Sgt. Ben Rieke of the Marshall Police Department. The child was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, Rieke said. The child was transported from the scene by ambulance. Rieke said air care was called in response to the accident. However, as of around 11 a.m. Wednesday, he did not have further information on the child’s condition.
