Dancers showcase spring recital

Photo courtesy of Laurie Ourada The Heritage Dragonflies - all residents at Heritage Pointe Senior Living in Marshall - were among the dancers who took the stage at Sunday's recital. Community Director Laurie Ourada said the Dragonflies spent many hours perfecting their routine, “Life Is Sweet,” with local dance instructor Annie Deutz. Group members ranged in age from 65 to 99.

On Sunday, the Marshall Academy of Dance Presented its 2026 Spring Recital Showcase. The showcase included a variety of dancers from duets, small groups and large groups across age groups from 4

to 18. In the photo at right, the Jr team competition small group with Adilyn Peterson, Arianna Dimler, Audrey Moses, Leilani Billington and Luciana Swanson with choreographer Mackenzie Clemens perform to the song “Hard Knock Life” from the play “Annie”. In the photo at left, the national team trio with Addison Kainz, Kylee Powell and Shelby Johnson with choreographer Annie Deutz dance to the song “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps” by Doris Day.
