BALATON — A veterans’ breakfast, program and cemetery services in Balaton will be part of the area Memorial Day observances on Monday.

On Monday morning, veterans and their immediate families are invited to a breakfast at the Balaton Community Center. Food will be served from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., with a free-will offering accepted.

The Memorial Day program will start at 10 a.m. at the Community Center. Roy Fuhrmann will be the guest speaker. Following the conclusion of the program at the Community Center, community members are invited to gather at Lakeside Cemetery north of Balaton for the reading of the Roll Call of the Dead and a gun salute.
