Two injured in Slayton crash

SLAYTON — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Slayton on Wednesday morning, the Minnesota State Patrol said. A Hanley Falls man and a Slayton man were taken to Murray County Medical Center with injuries.

The crash was reported at 6:36 a.m. A 2022 Ford F350 driven by Sergio Emanuel Espinoza, 22, of Hanley Falls, was southbound on U.S. Highway 59 and a 2015 Toyota Camry driven by Isaac William Harmsen, 33, of Slayton, was turning onto Highway 59 from 28th Street at the time of the crash. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, the State Patrol said.

Both Espinoza and Harmsen were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The Slayton Fire Department, Murray County Sheriff’s Office and the Murray County Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
