Death of Marshall woman under investigation, PD says

MARSHALL — Marshall Police confirmed Wednesday that they are investigating the death of a Marshall woman who was found in her vehicle in early December. Marshall Public Safety Director Jim Marshall said law enforcement are waiting for autopsy results from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.

The case is under investigation by the Marshall Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

In a news release, Marshall said the Marshall Police Department received a call about a body found in a vehicle at 4:09 p.m. on Dec. 1, on the 500 block of Village Drive in Marshall. Officers arrived at the scene and found a woman identified as Lauren Pegram, 30, inside the vehicle. According to the release, Pegram was the registered owner of the vehicle.

Pegram’s body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy, and the manner of her death was under investigation, the news release said. Jim Marshall said investigators were waiting for the medical examiner’s report.

The case is under active investigation, Marshall Police said. Police said no additional information will be released at this time.
