Fans at Southwest Minnesota State University were getting into the holiday spirit between Saturday’s men’s and women’s basketball games. Kids had a chance to meet Santa Claus (above), and enjoy treats and a coloring activity. Having a meet-and-greet with Santa is a Christmas tradition for Mustang athletics going back several years, said Kelly Loft, assistant athletic director for Communications. “We try to find a weekend close to Christmas each year,” to host the event, Loft said. Even though university students were on winter break after the end of finals last week, Saturday’s events still had a good turnout, he said. “We had a nice crowd. Families brought the kids.”
