A Lynd man reported missing in October has been located, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said. On Friday, the Sheriff’s Office received information on a possible location for Orion Charwood.

Charwood had last been seen in Lynd on Oct. 16. Responders including the Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Patrol, and the Lynd, Russell, Ghent and Marshall Fire Departments conducted a search in the area near Charwood’s home in Lynd on Oct. 23.

On Friday, the Sheriff’s Office said it had received information on Charwood’s whereabouts, and contacted law enforcement in the Twin Cities. Charwood was found safe at a residence in Hennepin County, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Sheriff Eric Wallen said Charwood was taken into custody on a warrant from Redwood County. The warrant was issued after Charwood missed a court date in Redwood County, Wallen said.
