Trial dates changed for arson case
MARSHALL — A trial for a man charged with arson has been rescheduled to March, Lyon County District Court records said.
Moises Reyes, 29, appeared in court for a settlement conference on Tuesday. Last month, Reyes pleaded not guilty to charges of first degree arson. A criminal complaint alleges that in July, Reyes set his mother’s house in Florence on fire.
At Tuesday’s hearing, Reyes’ attorney withdrew a demand for a speedy trial, and also requested that the settlement conference be continued to a later date. The court accepted that request, and set new trial dates, court records said.
The settlement conference for Reyes was continued to January 13. A pretrial hearing date was set for February 10, and jury trial dates were set for March 4-5, court records said.
