MARSHALL — Over 1,000 people browsed the booths set up at the Red Baron Arena and Expo this weekend during the Marshall Fall Craft and Vendor Show.
“It worked out well. People were out shopping,” said Lisa Mauch, one of the organizers of the event.
The show brought together about 100 vendors, offering items like holiday décor and gifts, crafts, baked goods and more. The event also helps raise funds for the Marshall High School girls hockey team.
Members of the hockey team get involved with the show, helping vendors load and unload their booths, and keeping track of attendance at the front door of the Arena and Expo, Mauch said. She estimated around 1,700 people came to the show.
“I think the event has grown,” Mauch said.
The timing of this fall’s show also seemed to work out well for shoppers.
Free-will donations at the show help make a difference for the girls hockey team, Mauch said. The funds raised help to cover costs like transportation and food for the team, she said.
“It’s a big fundraiser for our girls,” she said.
