MARSHALL — Trading card enthusiasts stopped by the Adult Community Center in Marshall Saturday morning to take a look at a collectible card show, gazing over hundreds of options.

A handful of tables, hosted by individual collectors or card shop owners, laid out several hundreds of cards for show-gatherers to look at, for either sale or interest of trading.

As people wandered around the room and looked over the options, a few engaged in conversation with the hosts discussing the uniqueness or rarity of some cards.

“There’s so many variations of everything,” one card seller said.

Amongst all the tables, there was a wide variety of options for people to check out.

There were several rows of sports cards, especially those of basketball, football and baseball, including a plethora of popular Minnesota athletes throughout their careers like Kevin Garnett, Anthony Edwards, Justin Jefferson and more.

A few other tables included more interests, like Pokémon, which also had numerous cards.

The tables and hosts had an impressive amount of rows and boxes of cards, as goers took time passing by and picking through everything there was to see.

“There’s so many different ways,” one host said regarding how they build up a large card collection. “It’s just every day, people bring cards that they want to sell and things like that, and constantly looking online.”

Marshall has a few local card shops, including The Card Farmers and Bott’s Spot Sportscards and Collectibles. Both shops bring in several hundreds of cards and other collectibles covering a variety of sports and other interests like anime, Marvel, memorabilia and more.

The Card Farmers is located on Fifth Street in Marshall, while Bott’s Spot is found on East College Drive.

Starting at $3.95/week.
