Tyler woman injured in school bus collision

MURRAY COUNTY — A Tyler woman was injured in a collision with a school bus on Minnesota Highway 91 Thursday, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Heather Mae Dressen, 40, received non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 4:00 p.m., at the intersection of Highway 91 and 171st Street in Murray County. A 2012 school bus driven by John Richard Swart, 66, of Slayton was traveling westbound on 171st Street and had stopped for a stop sign, the State Patrol said. A 2018 Chevy Traverse driven by Dressen was southbound on Highway 91, when the two vehicles collided in the intersection, the State Patrol said.

Swart was uninjured in the collision. Dressen was taken to Murray County Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The Murray County Sheriff’s Office, Murray County Ambulance, and Lake Wilson Fire and First Responders all responded at the scene.
