Five injured in Redwood Co. crash

REDWOOD COUNTY — Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday night south of Wabasso, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office said. Around 10:23 p.m., a crash was reported at the intersection of Redwood County Road 6 and County Road 4, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jeffrey Magdik, 63, of Centerville, was traveling eastbound on County Road 4 and failed to stop at a stop sign, the Sheriff’s Office said. Magdik’s vehicle struck a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Thalia Calderon Rodriguez, 26, of South Sioux City, Neb.

Magdik, Calderon Rodriguez, and three passengers in Calderon Rodriguez’s vehicle were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Wabasso Ambulance, Lamberton Ambulance, Walnut Grove Ambulance, CentraCare Ambulance, the Wanda Fire Department and the Minnesota State Patrol all responded at the crash scene.
