Marshall grants alcohol license for Aquatic Center event
Marshall Community Services plans 21+ event at pool
MARSHALL — This week, Marshall City Council members granted permission for alcohol to be sold at an adults-only event at the Marshall Aquatic Center later this month. An alcoholic beverage license for Marshall Community Services came before the council as part of the consent agenda at its regular meeting Tuesday night.
Council members didn’t discuss individual consent agenda items at Tuesday’s meeting. However, materials included in the council agenda packet said Marshall Community Services planned to host a new “Adult Night” event at the Aquatic Center on July 23.
The event would have a $10 entry fee, and would be restricted to adults age 21 and older, agenda materials said. The event would have food, games and prizes, a DJ, and beverages served by the Hitching Post, agenda materials said.
In order to serve alcoholic beverages at a city park or facility, MCS would need a city license.
Council members voted to approve the beverage license, along with other items on the consent agenda.
