Kor pleads guilty to check forgery, fraud
MARSHALL — A planned trial for a Marshall woman charged with stealing from a local construction company has been canceled, after she pleaded guilty to check forgery and financial transaction card fraud, Lyon County District Court records said.
Rikki Lee Kor, 50, appeared in Lyon County District Court at a Wednesday plea hearing, court records said. Kor pleaded guilty to a total of five counts of check forgery, and one count of financial transaction card fraud.
A criminal complaint alleged Kor stole more than $95,000 while working as an accountant at KHC Construction in 2023 and 2024. The complaint alleged Kor issued checks to herself, and used a company credit card to make unauthorized purchases, including more than 20 purchases of gift cards.
At Wednesday’s hearing, the court ordered a pre-sentencing investigation, and set a sentencing hearing for Kor on Oct. 14. A jury trial that was originally set for next week was taken off the court calendar.
