MARSHALL — Marshall Police and the Brown, Lyon, Redwood and Renville Emergency Response Unit were called to a Marshall hotel late Thursday night for an incident where a firearm was discharged. Marshall Public Safety Director Jim Marshall said no injuries were reported in the incident, but an investigation is ongoing.

Law enforcement responded to the 1500 block of East College Drive around 12:33 a.m. on Aug. 2. Officers made contact with two females who were present inside a hotel room when the firearm was discharged, Police said.

Police said there is no immediate threat to the public from the incident. Marshall said Friday afternoon that no arrests had yet been made in the incident, but the investigation was still ongoing.
