Man rescued from Lake Benton on Saturday

LAKE BENTON — Anglers on Lake Benton rescued a 54-year-old Marshall man after a boating accident last weekend, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday. The man was safely brought to shore, and his boat was later recovered, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call on the incident around 11 a.m. on June 8. Anglers fishing on Lake Benton spotted a boat that was spinning in circles, and an individual in the water. The anglers pulled the man onto their boat and took him to shore, where he was checked out by members of the Lake Benton First Responders and Tyler Ambulance, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota DNR recovered the man’s boat after it ran out of fuel, and towed it to the Lake Benton Resort, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Starting at $4.38/week.
