Two injured in Hwy. 75 crash

CANBY — Two Canby residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and Lincoln County Road 20, the Minnesota State Patrol said. William Jay Briggs, 54, and Molly Jo Verhelst, 46, received non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 3:36 p.m. A 2015 Ford F350 was southbound on Highway 75, and a 1995 Nissan truck driven by Briggs was westbound on County Road 20 when the two vehicles collided, the State Patrol said. Briggs and Verhelst, who was a passenger in the Ford, were both taken to Sanford Canby hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford and a second passenger in the Ford were uninjured, the State Patrol said.
