Tracy man killed in motorcycle crash

TRACY — A Tracy resident died Friday night, in a crash where his motorcycle struck a utility pole, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said.

Steven Meyer, 55, was pronounced dead at the crash scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash was reported at 11:05 p.m. on the 1000 block of Lyon County Road 11 in Monroe Township, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. It was reported that the motorcycle had struck a utility pole and power lines were blocking the roadway.

Investigation showed that Meyer had been traveling south on County Road 11 on a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he left the roadway near the Lyon/Murray County Line Road and hit the utility pole, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash.
