One injured in Hwy. 68 crash

MINNEOTA — A Taunton woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash reported early Sunday morning on Minnesota Highway 68 near Minneota, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Mckaylin Rae Day, 19, was taken to Avera Marshal Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 1:48 a.m., near the intersection of Highway 68 and 140th Avenue. A 2000 GMC Yukon driven by Day was eastbound on Highway 68 when it left the roadway and rolled, the State Patrol said.

The State Patrol reported that Day was not wearing a seat belt.

In addition to the State Patrol, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and Minneota Fire and Rescue responded at the crash scene.
