State Patrol releases name of man killed in Marshall crash

MARSHALL — The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of a Lynd man killed in a two-vehicle crash in Marshall on Friday. Gary James Snook, 69, died in a crash at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and U.S. Highway 59.

The crash was reported at 2:47 p.m. Friday. The State Patrol said Snook was driving a 2013 Dodge Ram northbound on Highway 23 at the time of the crash, while a 2007 Freightliner straight truck driven by Taylor Ronald Schmidt, 30, of Ruthton, was turning southbound onto Highway 59. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, the State Patrol said. Schmidt was uninjured in the crash.
