MARSHALL — A woman who was stabbed during a domestic incident in Marshall Sunday morning has died of her injuries, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Monday.

The BCA did not release the identities of either the woman or her assailant, but a BCA spokesperson said the woman’s death is being investigated as part of their overall force investigation.

Marshall Police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 500 block of Brussels Court in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police said an officer made contact with a male who had stabbed a female victim. The male was fatally shot in the incident. The woman who had been stabbed was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital.

The BCA said it will release more information about the incident, including the identities of the people involved, once a preliminary investigation is complete.
