Wabasso woman injured in crash with semi truck

WABASSO — A Wabasso woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi truck on Minnesota Highway 68 on Saturday, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 7:53 a.m., at the intersection of Highway 68 and Highway 71 in Redwood County. A 2023 Kenworth semi driven by James Allan Kohout, 65, of Olivia, was southbound on Highway 71, and a 2000 Ford Windstar driven by Charlene Marie Frank, 68, of Wabasso, was eastbound on Highway 68 at the time of the crash. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, the State Patrol said.

Frank was taken to Carris Health Redwood Falls with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, and Wabasso Fire Department and Medical, all responded at the crash scene.
