Nicole DeBoer and Renee DeAustin were among the guests who dressed up for cocktails and dinner surrounded by creepy mannequins and dolls at the Lyon County Museum on Friday the 13th. "Dinner With the Dolls" was a new event organized by the museum and Visit Marshall. Dolls from the museum's collection, as well as dolls provided by community members and the Avera Marshall Thrift Store, were on display all around the museum's lower level.
"There have been other museums in the past few years who have done things like creepy doll contests," said museum director Jennifer Andries. Marshall was trying out its own event with dolls adding to the creepy atmosphere.
