ALEXANDRIA — Alexandria area business man Steve Boyd announced Monday he will challenge Michelle Fischbach for Minnesota’s District 7 Congressional seat during the 2024 primary.

Steve Boyd, a Christian, conservative, is married and a father of five who owns a turf management and mosquito control company serving residents of Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens, and Swift counties.

“We live in a Congressional district that votes overwhelmingly for Republican candidates,” said Boyd in a press release.

“We should be championing issues that matter to ordinary conservatives, especially fighting back against the left’s war on Christianity and our Constitution. I admire Representative Fischbach’s determination to making a career out of holding onto public office since the late 1900s, but with the problems we are facing in this nation, business as usual just won’t get it done.”
