IVANHOE — The Lincoln County Board approved a salary package for interim Sheriff Bob Bushman on Tuesday.

Bushman was appointed to fill the remaining term of Sheriff Chad Meester who resigned in July. His term will run until 2026.

Bushman will receive $43,352 for the remainder of this year and $115,500 a year thereafter. The salary package includes no benefits or insurance.

In other business, the board approved a quote from Interstate Telecom Cooperative (ITC) in the amount of $1,102 per month for phone service for the county courthouse, and a one-time expense of $3,240 for installation and new phones.

The board also approved three bids totaling $326,359 from Chappell Central, Inc for heating and cooling upgrades for the on the first through third floors of the county courthouse.
