IVANHOE — The Lincoln County Board accepted the only bid to lease a plot of tillable land at Tuesday’s meeting.

The board agreed to lease the 1.1 acre plot near the Wilno gravel pit to James Stellmach for $220. It is believed the plot is adjacent to land Stellmach farms.

In other business, the board agreed to consider a request by Information Technology Administrator Chris Cauwels to hire a part-time IT specialist. Cauwels’ request was endorsed by Sheriff Chad Meester who said the changing requirements for cyber security required by the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was substantially increasing Cauwels’ workload.
