A Hendricks man received probation this week for charges in connection with a drug bust at a Hendricks residence last spring, court records said.
Lane Tucker Van Erdewyk, 24, appeared in Lincoln County court Thursday for a sentencing hearing, court records said. Van Erdewyk was one of three people arrested in the incident.
A criminal complaint said law enforcement, including the Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at a Hendricks residence in May 2022. The search found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the complaint said.
Van Erdewyk pleaded guilty to felony drug possession charges in March, court records said.
At Thursday's hearing, Van Erdewyk received a stay of adjudication and up to five years supervised probation, court records said. Conditions of Van Erdewyk's probation included that he pay a $400 fine, abstain from alcohol and drugs, and abide by a substance use disorder assessment. Additional counts of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.
Dillon Ray Van Erdewyk, one of the people charged in connection with the same Hendricks drug bust, also received a stay of adjudication in March for drug possession charges, court records said. Dillon Van Erdewyk also receive up to five years probation, with conditions including that he pay a $500 fine, complete a substance use disorder assessment and abstain from alcohol and drugs.
The third person charged in connection with the Hendricks drug bust, Brittney Jo Moravetz, received a stay of adjudication for drug possession charges in December. Moravetz received up to three years probation, with conditions including that she pay a $300 fine, complete a substance use disorder assessment and abstain from alcohol and drugs.
