Parade of lights on Main Street

The color guard led the way with flag poles lit up. Hockey players, snowmen and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer followed. Mary and Joseph with Jesus in the manger were on display. Trucks and vehicles of all sizes glowed in the dark. Even Eddie — Clark Griswold’s cousin leaning up against his camper trailer in “Christmas Vacation” — showed up for Marshall’s Downtown Light Parade Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Claus trailed at the end. It was the start of a dazzling evening that ended with music by Kayla Daniels and fireworks at Independence Park.
