Highway 68 crash kills Canby man

PORTER — A Canby man was killed in a crash in a construction area on Minnesota Highway 68 Tuesday evening, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

A 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Robert William Larsen, 57, struck a sign in the construction area, left the road and rolled, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 6:36 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 68 and 240th Street, west of Porter, the State Patrol said. Larsen’s Jeep was westbound on Highway 68 at the time of the crash.

The State Patrol said the Porter Fire Department, the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Department, and Canby Police all responded at the crash scene.
