Community members gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of Marshall High School seniors on Wednesday night as the Pride In the Tiger Foundation presented scholarships to graduating members of the class of 2022. Here, Hailey Lyons received a handshake and scholarship envelope, along with applause from classmates, teachers and family. A total of about $194,000 in local scholarships was awarded to about 145 graduating seniors, said Pride In the Tiger Foundation Executive Director Krista Bjella. The scholarships “recognize excellence and honor those who have shown hard work and integrity,” Bjella told seniors. Since the beginning of its scholarship program, the Pride In the Tiger Foundation has awarded a total of over $2 million to more than 2,000 Marshall graduates.
